WirelessMETRIXTM Integration
Highlights:
WirelessMETRIX software can run side-by-side with any of the Umetrix products to support logging and analysis of RF and IP data
Initial enhanced application with Umetrix Voice includes reports that correlate RF and signalling information with voice and call QoE metrics
Further integration of logging and analysis capabilities across all Umetrix tools will make triage of issues that impact user experience even easier
Enabling users to better understand and triage the root cause of problems that impact the user experience of mobile services
Spirent has partnered with WirelessMETRIX to provide air interface logging and analysis capabilities to the Umetrix suite of Quality of Experience (QoE) active test products. The partnership ties the Umetrix user experience point of view for evaluating device performance with the underlying RF and signaling performance accessible via WirelessMETRIX. This powerful combination enables easier debugging of QoE issues discovered by the Umetrix tools, and consequently a shorter time to problem resolution.
WirelessMETRIX offers two applications that work with Umetrix:
Link Master LoggingTM (LMLTM)
LML software can run side-by-side with any of the Umetrix products to support logging of RF and IP data:
• Collects data from the device chipset
– Support for multiple chipset manufacturers (including Qualcomm, Samsung, and others)
• Requires only a USB connection to the device
– Supports logging of data on up to 6 devices simultaneously
• Supports all major RF technologies
– LTE-A, LTE, WCDMA/HSPA+/EDGE/GSM, CDMA/EV-DO
– Supports collection from lower layers to support troubleshooting
– Layer 1 measurements
– Layer 3 signaling
Link Master AnalysisTM (LMATM)• LMA software can run side-by-side with any of the Umetrix products to
support analysis of RF and IP Logs:
• Comprehensive reporting capabilities
– Standard reports
– Forms-driven user defined reports
• Visualize call events, signal strength, neighbor information, pilot information
• Synchronized visualization in maps, time graphs, tables, and charts
• Drive test replay capability

Maximize KPIs, Reduce Churn
It is critical in today’s competitive environment to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) to minimize dropped and blocked calls and maximize data throughput. Link MasterTM tools collect the underlying RF, IP, and signalling data to determine your KPIs and allow you to analyze and easily identify where you can boost your network and device performance.
LML: Air Interface Data Collection Tool
LML data collection tool enables complete collection of all the parameters characterizing wireless device performance. Setting up a test configuration is quick and easy via the intuitive graphical user interface.
Key Features
• Connect up to 6 UEs plus a scanning receiver
• Supports any network type: LTE-A, LTE, CDMA / EVDO, WCDMA / HSPA+ / GSM / EDGE
• VoLTE testing• Collect layer 1 and layer 3 data• Real-time mapping with trace lines to the
serving cell sector• Simple multi-floor in-building network
characterization• Full playback capability and one-click
synchronization• Collect LTE-A data on the primary and
secondary bands• Includes MIMO Testing
Ease of Use

LMA: Post Processing Data Analysis ToolLMA provides analysis of the data collected via the LML air interface logging tool. Quick analysis and fast response times to queries are achieved through the highly efficient database engine. User definable filters or threshold limits narrow the analysis to focus in on network or device performance areas of interest.
In-depth analysis can isolate individual or multiple test UEs and the issues involved, as well as track and record their log files.
Report generation is quick and easy with one-click standardized reporting. A forms-driven report generator tool makes it fast and easy to create user definable reports.
Key Features• Outdoor and in-building analysis• Function analysis: call events, signal strength,
neighbor information, pilot information, etc• QoE analysis: voice, video, data quality, etc.• User selectable UI displays: map, time graph, table,
statistic chart, correlation graph, etc.• User-definable database query filters• Full drive test replay and one-click synchronization• Multiple data and image export file formats• One-click comprehensive standardized report
