ALGEBRA I/ADVANCED GEOMETRY

Algebra -- Monday through Wednesday we will work on Graphing inequalities in two variables, then finish the

week with Graphing systems of Inequalities.

Geometry -- We will how to learn identify properties of triangles that relate to their Medians, Altitudes, Per-

pendicular Bisectors, and Angle Bisectors. Then the rest of the week focus on specific attributes of each

type that give us information such as the centroid, orthocenter, and circumcenter of triangles.

Band Students**

If you will miss class for band, you are required to come in Monday or Thursday to get the work you miss. You

will also need to get your test back on Thursday and get the corrections turned in Friday at the beginning of

your class.

Calculus: We will take a test on Monday over Implicit Differentiation and Related Rates. We will cover several

more derivative topics before taking a 6-weeks test on Friday.

Pre-Calculus: We will take a test on Monday over graphing polynomials. We will then cover the Fundamental

Theorem of Algebra and Linear Factorization Theorem before taking a 6-weeks test on Friday.

Algebra II: We will take a test on Monday over matrix addition, subtraction, and multiplication. We will con-

tinue to discuss different matrix techniques before taking a 6-weeks test on Friday.

BIOLOGY/ADVANCED BIOLOGY/ADVANCED CHEMISTRY/ADVANCED A&P/AP PHYSICS

Biology will wrap up cell organelles with a test on Thursday. They will spend the first of the week working on

their review.

Advanced chemistry will continue their study of the periodic table. They will do a coloring activity and then

move on to periodic trends.

Human A&P will finish studying bones with a test on Tuesday. They will then take a skeleton test on Thurs-

day and start joints and bone articulations on Friday.

AP Physics will finish their use of forces to investigate Newton's 3 Laws. They will take a test over these

laws on Friday as well as turn in their force investigation lab.

Regular chemistry will finish up the quantum atom and take a test over it on Friday.

PRINCPLES OF HOSPITALITY/ CULINARY ARTS/LIFETIME NUTRITION/FOOD SCIENCE

Hospitality and Tourism students were give the rubric for their USA Trip Planning project. Their trip must last

at least 5 nights and may be in any state except Texas. It must be a state not a territory. This project will be

due on November 15, 2017 at the end of class. 2/3 of the grade will come from the actual project and 1/3 will

come from their presentation. Please encourage your student to work on this project ahead of time and to

prepare their presentation as well.

Culinary Arts students will be learning about pie making and then produce their choice of pie to bring home

for you to try. Ask them which type of pie they chose. I would love to hear from you about what you think

about their baking efforts. They should be bringing them home by the 17th of November.
