Stress is the reaction in an individual's body or mind when that person perceives a potential threat to his well-being in a given situation , event or environment.

The threat, event or change are commonly called stressors. Stressors can be internal (thoughts, beliefs, attitudes or external (loss, tragedy, change).

Stress is not what happens to us. It's our response TO what happens
