In the first book … I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, until the day when he was taken up, after he had given
commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. He presented himself alive to them after his suffering
by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. (Acts 1v1-3)
Paul lived there two whole years at his own expense, and welcomed all who came to him, proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all
boldness and without hindrance. (Acts 28v30-31)
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptising them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28 v 19-20
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should
walk in them”(Ephesians 2v10)
“a man small in size, bald-headed, crooked thighs, well-built,
with eyebrows meeting, rather long-nosed.”
Submission to God …
Faithful Under Pressure …
Courage in a storm …
… God steered him onto the right path
… God kept him on the right path
… God used him to keep others on the right path
1. Paul was not afraid to work hard“We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those
who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised” (Hebrews 6v12)
2. Paul tried to get on with everyone“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with
everyone” (Romans 12v8)
3. Paul naturally lived out his faith in each situation“Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the
name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him” (Colossians 3v17)
