STRENGTHENING TIES INDIA AND CAMBODIAShri Suresh Prabhu’s visit to Cambodia

Honorable Minister of Commerce and Industry and Civil Aviation Shri Suresh Prabhu completed a whirlwind visit to Cambodia.

The visit included series of meetings,addressing at the 5th India CLMV (Cambodia LAO PDR Myanmar and Vietnam) Business Conclave on the theme of “ Collaboration for Regional Integration” and other engagements.

The visit commenced with a meeting withH.E. Hor Namhong,

SHRI SURESH PRABHU ALSO RELEASED A REPORT ON

Minister held bilateral meeting with Mr. Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce, Cambodia. Mr Suresh Prabhu

expressed potential of partnership between both countries to have a Joint Working Group on Trade and also have

India-Cambodia Chamber of Commerce. India and Cambodia share rich historical ties with recent times

witnessing even greater cooperation across diverse fields.

Followed by another bilateral meeting with

Mr. Cao Quoc Hung,Vice Minister for Industry and

Trade,Vietnam.Trade and economic linkages

between India and Vietnam continue to

grow. The meeting will provide fresh impetus.

Mr Suresh Prabhu also met Dr. Than Myint, Minister of Commerce; Myanmar.

Opportunities that emerge from surging economy in both countries also provide new

visas for engagement

The visit concluded with meeting with H.E. Mr. Hun Sen, Hon.

Prime Minister of Cambodia. Strategies to improve

connectivity, promote tourism, boosting SMEs, facilitating start-ups & investments in

creating value addition for Agri products were key points discussed during the visit
