C ollege goers fromMumbai came togetherfor the Closeup First

Move Party on Friday atMehboob Studios amidst a lot ofexciting performances, gamesand other events. A few madethe first moves while othersbecame stars of the night andsome lucky ones even exited thefriend-zone! A star studdedaffair, the party had ShahidKapoor and Alia Bhatt, keepingthe crowds up-beat as theyunveiled the new Closeup pack,picked a lucky guy and girl for aquick dance and even sharedpersonal stories of how theyhad made their first moves incollege. Said Shahid about thedo, “The two most importantfactors to make a successfulfirst move are freshness andconfidence which this brandoffers. The Closeup First MoveParty is just the place to be!”Alia too was quite excited asshe got to party with her fans,“This party is just the place tobe!” she exclaimed.

The party witnessed a hi-energy performance by singerand composer Amit Trivediand his crew. VJ Yudi and VJBani played witty hosts for theevening and shared some first— move tricks to help studentsmake theirs. Speaking aboutthe party, Amit said, “I had anamazing time performing inMumbai today. The audiencecrooned to most of the songswith me and the feeling wassimply electrifying. I tried my hand at a couple of experi-ence zones and had a blast. Itdoes give you the confidence toget closer”.

The party also had an inter-esting set of experience zonesto help college goers make theirbest ‘first move’. At Brush UpYour First Move Skills, stu-dents had to perform the task ofbrushing with a twist. Some

students aced the art of head-banging while brushing andothers struck a pose with theirpartner and a toothbrush,replicating popular movieposters. Some footloose cou-ples also showed off somewickedly fresh salsa moves,while other quirky poserstook their dates and tried theFlipbook Counter.

Among those who made thefirst moves was Tanvi Chhedafrom Hinduja College whosaid, “It is the coolest partyI’ve attended till date. I lovedthe Game Wall and tried it acouple of times. I was also one of the lucky ones to win a chance to dance withShahid and it was a dreamcome true.”

D elhi designer NamrataJoshipura showcased a daz-zling collection inspired by

Lakmé’s latest skincare innovation,Lakmé Insta Light — a unique blendof skin lightening crème and mineralpowder that promises to give evenlylit up skin in an instant.

The runway witnessed an impact-ful combination of LED lights andprojected images that lit upNamrata’s creations, which was aperfect metaphor for the crème.The play of intermittent light bounc-ing off garments added a touch ofdrama to the show, giving attendees afluid glimpse of reality. The rampwas set for a youthful collection that glowed, juxtaposed against edgy music.

Namrata said, “My collection,inspired from Lakmé Insta Light,aims to set the stage for a youthfuland modern collection that glows andsparkles. Iridescence and shine werethe primary elements of my collec-

tion and I achieved this through bothsurface embellishment and interest-ing fabrics. I feel the brand is fashionforward; similarly, the silhouettesthat I present are sharp, sexy and ofthe fashion moment.”
