Photography has always been the artistic medium that has gripped me, had me reading into the late hours of night, and allowed me
to express myself and practice a craft so elusive. Throughout my daily life, in my role as a firefighter and paramedic of almost 20
years, I’ve witnessed the tragedy of substance abuse, poverty, violence, poor family dynamics, the destruction of life, and
unspeakable living conditions firsthand. But I’ve also seen the surreal beauty and the enduring power of the human spirit, and am
committed to showing the power and beauty that lies in us all. My passion is to capture that beauty and I thrive on the effort and
struggle that comes with being a photographer…I wouldn’t have it any other way.struggle that comes with being a photographer…I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My own life and existence changed dramatically in 2013. An anomaly in my heart caused me to have a small stroke. Eben though I
survived the stroke without any physical or mental deficits, I now live with a different perspective on life....
The journey since my stroke and into photography professionally has been life changing. I live with immense gratitude and an
appreciation that I cannot put into words. My wife is truly my best friend and better half. Being the Dad to my 2 sons has been one
of the most rewarding experiences of my life! They have revealed aspects of life which I would've never known without them! I’ve
also been accused of being a coffee snob, workout junkie, and generally focused, intense and passionate about life.
It's my job and privilege to capture moments and stages of life in a unique and visually gripping way so they can be cherished It's my job and privilege to capture moments and stages of life in a unique and visually gripping way so they can be cherished
forever. Each project I work on reaffirms my passion for this craft and it’s a job I want keep doing for a long time.
