SynBREUSynthetic Biology Research Experience for Undergraduates

What is the program?Ten weeks of mentored, research-intensive activities in the field of Synthetic Biology

• Including nine weeks of hands-on research at the interface of biology, engineering, chemistry, math and physics in a Northwestern University laboratory

Workshops, seminars, activities to strengthen related skillsets

• Communication, design, ethics, teamwork, and entrepreneurship

Who is eligible?U.S. citizens, permanent residents and U.S. nationals are eligible

• College Juniors preferred, though Sophomores and Seniors will be considered

• Majoring in engineering, chemistry, biology, biophysics, computer science and/or mathematics

• Available for at least 9 weeks during the summer of 2019
