CSU Validation applies to: Math, Language Other than English (LOTE) and Chemistry• Math – C or better in the second semester of Geometry will validate the first
semester, C or better in the first semester of Algebra II validates both semesters of Algebra I, Statistics will validate Algebra I and Algebra II, but will not validate Geometry, Advanced math validates the entire sequence.
• LOTE - C or better in a semester of a higher-level course validates a lower-level course
• Chemistry - C or better in the second semester of Chemistry validates the first semester
Standardized Tests (ACT, SAT, AP, IB)
• For Fall 2021 freshman admissions, standardized tests will not be used to determine admissions eligibility.
• SAT/ACT scores will be used for placement in math and English courses by campuses

Educational Programs & Work Experience
The CSU Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)• Students who are historically low-income and educationally
disadvantaged who need admission assistance and support services to succeed in college.
• The EOP application is built into the Cal State Apply application. Students can submit the Cal State Apply application without the EOP portion complete and come back to it.
• Student can come back to the EOP portion of the application after they submit until January 15th
• Some campuses require students to complete EOP portion by December 4th.
