• The idea here is to create a webpage, and possibly some downloadable software, where a user of any age could create very original, high quality musical compositions with little or no musical or technical training

• This is not the first of it’s kind. There has been many attempts to make music composition easy. However, most of the programs are uninspired and not very powerful.

An Example of Some Such Software Designed for Children

• The program would have a knowledge of thousands of different progressions and rhythms, ones that are used over and over countless times in today's music. Once you started your own rhythm or melody the computer would recognize similar progressions and give suggestions on where to go. Not formatting to a rubric, but giving the user audible options with the same tempo, volume and other attributes to what you have already created.
