7:45-8:15 p.m. State of the Union - Team Town Cycle version

• Budget, membership and income
• Thank you to our 2013 sponsors! Special thanks to John Florey and
Highland Sports Group – John has supported all of our races and the
pump track with prizes and swag! Special thanks also to Sneaky Pete’s
Beverages and Uncorked Wines for their support.
• Special gratitude to retiring board member Steve Boshart
• New kits with big changes!
− Giving back
• West Milford Family Pump Track continues to be a huge success! The
first ever WMFPT Pump Jam was held in June, and the track was well
used all season. New plans for the new year – stay tuned!
• TTC, JORBA, and Paydirt - almost 350 reported hours of Paydirt (many
many more unreported hours!) from TTC members. Norm and Sherri
Albrect, Tom Bowmaster, Steve Boshart, Tom Hennigan, the Huggins family,
the Tranes family, David Kahl, BJ and Reid Kisch, the Lando family, Jeff
Mergler, Moskowitz family, Matt Kuchavik, the Tasik family, the Van Wart
family, Adam and Rich Vandenbos.
• 5th
Annual Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day ride on October 12 – about
30 riders enjoyed a warm fall day at Jungle Habitat, followed by a
pump track session!
• Food drives to support our community continue – thanks to everyone
who helps us support the West Milford Presbyterian Church’s food
pantry.
• Equipment and clothing donation to Cadence Foundation – over
$5,000 of clothing and equipment donated last year!
− We had some fun!
• Rides, rides and more rides! As usual, our year was filled with various
rides - New Paltz ride, Wednesday and Friday night rides, Jersey City beer
and schnitzel ride, badminton, trip to the Trexlertown Velodrome, hikes,
night rides, race course pre-rides, ladies only rides, kids MTB rides, Stan’s
clinics, and destination rides at Stewart, 6 mile, and Allaire – hopefully
something for everyone!
• Already for 2014 – hiking, badminton, and a trip to Cleveland?
• Plans for more fun in 2014 - Badminton will continue on Saturdays at NJ
Badminton in Montville, we’ve scheduled a trip to Ray’s MTB Park in
Cleveland Jan. 24-26, Juniors in the Jungle K-12 race is April 26, Friday night
rides on Clinton Road will resume in April, Rumble in the Jungle is May 18,
Bubblecross will return in the fall of 2014.

• Volunteers are the backbone of Team Town Cycle – we couldn’t do
ANY of it without you! By running our two big races, we are able to hold
our kids events, help out local businesses and organizations, have supported
rides, support the pump track, dinners, etc.

Annual Juniors in the Jungle Mountain Bike Race April 27th

over 100 racers – our best turnout yet!
• Campmor H2H series Race #3 – Rumble in the Jungle May 19th
2013 – a
very soggy day brought out 200 racers. Extra special thanks to all who
came out to volunteer or race in the rain!
• NJBA Cyclocross Cup Race #7 – Bubblecross – the Halloween edition!
250 racers rode one of the best courses of the season! From Smurfs to
Superman, we had it all!

• BMX - Our TTC BMX team consists of the whole Huggins Family!
• Ethan – Outstanding breakout season – He consistently beat competitors
that were both larger and older, which takes real effort. He stack up more
than ½ dozen wins, and an especially impressive 2nd
place finish at the
Empire Nationals. With all that success, Ethan will be looking to upgrade
early in 2014.
• Kate – gaining more confidence and skill with each race, and has already
scored more than ½ dozen 3rd
place finishes, as well as a handful of 2nd
place finishes.
• Danielle – after commandeering Jay’s bike, she has more than a fistful of top
3 finishes, and continues to improve!
• Jay – spent most of his year being team manager, looking forward to some
racing in 2014.
• New for 2014 – We welcome downhill racers Quinton Johnson and Titus
Nicholson to the team!
