We hope you’ll join us by pledging your support for a more inclusive world and staying involved all month long!

WEEK 11UNIFORM WINNER
This week’s winner isZoe Roche
I would like to thank all of the staff for the work they have done at GPS this term, they help make this the amazing school it is. I would also like to thank all the parents who have given up their time to come on excursions, read with students, visit for BBQ's, attend P&C meetings, help fundraise, meet the teachers and have a genuine interest in their child's education.
We try to provide a well rounded education, focusing on learning and creating students who will thrive in High School and the community when they leave our school and with parents help, I think we achieve this very well.
All students and staff deserve a rest over the holidays to refresh and recharge so that we are ready to hit the ground running and ready to learn in Term 2.
I wish you all a safe and happy holidays and I will see you back on Tuesday 30th April.
ANZAC March- Please meet at the OLD FIRE STATION at 10.20am on Thursday 25th April
Please Meet Mr Lewis.
Congratulations to Daine Patrick who was selected in the Western Rugby Union team last week.
He will compete at the State Titles later in the year.
Best of Luck also to all our boys trialling for the Western Rugby League teams today in Dubbo.
We will inform you if any boys get selected.
David Lewis
Principal
As Term 1 comes to an end this week I would like to reflect on all the wonderful opportunities our students have had this term.
Red Hill Visit
Last week 4/5Q, 5D and 5/6H went on an excursion to Red Hill to learn about Aboriginal culture.
The day was run by Peter Swain a local Wiradjuri man who taught the students about Aboriginal artworks and symbols, Aboriginal hunting tools, including how to make and use them.
The students were engaged all day and enjoyed learning about the ways in which Aboriginal people used everything in nature to live.

CLASS IN FOCUSK/6A
This term in K/6A we have been reading ‘Are We There Yet?’ by Alison Lester. We have researched some of the wonderful places the family in the story visited around Australia and compared them to our own holidays.
We made an iMovie Trailer of our own holidays, which is very funny to watch.
We walked around Gulgong Mayne St and took pictures of some of the places that people would come to visit on their holidays and made them into postcards.
We have also been very busy with our usual lessons including; cooking.
These pictures show us cooking Spaghetti Bolognaise with garlic bread.
We’ve also been horse riding at Mudgee Showground with the Riding for Disabled Association. We’d like to thank Gulgong RSL for allowing us to use the mini-bus each Wednesday, free of charge.
