The sign-up for the selection of the Top 100 shops will be available until October 25. It is scheduled to announce the Top 100 Shops list on November 22. Tainan City Government will not only send official reviewers to evaluate, but also hire “observers” to inspect secretly, just in case the shops slack off. Mayor Lai said, we would like to see the service quality and the shopping environment to be improved through the selection of Top 100 shops. Hopefully, this will make Tainan a shopping paradise. The 100 certified shops will be advertised for free to gain popularity. The certificate will be valid until October 31, 2012. The City Government has invited experts to design the evaluation standard, including aspects like shopping environment, product quality and service quality. Also, having fixed prices is the main demand of the shopping festival. The Tainan Shopping Festival will be held from December 10 to the first day of 2012. Different from the high-end fashion emphasized in Taipei and Kaohsiung, the cultural capital Tainan is the only city that blends traditional culture into modern shopping experience.

INTRODUCTION
How many electrical appliances do you use everyday? Probably more than we think we do. And these things have indeed made our lives more convenient, save us time so we can do the things we want (instead of lighting a fire by sticks, for instance). So let’s learn how to speak these items, in Taiwanese.
