A Message From Our PresidentA Message From Our President
"Higher education cannot be a luxury. It's an economic imperative for us toprosper as a nation, and should be
accessible to all who desire it."
Dear Family and Friends,
At Brighter Horizon, we believe in the power ofinvesting in young people to help them further theireducation, and achieve the economic mobility thatwill lift them, their families and their communities. Asthey go out into the world, there will be a ripple effectwhen they pay it forward by investing in others.
2019, our inaugural year, greatly exceeded ourexpectations - and for one simple reason - you.
In my retirement, I wanted to find a way to give back,to pay forward all the doors of opportunity that wereopened for me. I am so thankful to each and everyone of you for helping me as I began this journey, inbig ways and small. Brighter Horizon enters 2020 withthe resources to assist 20 young scholars, yes 20! -
more than double the number we planned.
These young people have persevered throughcircumstances most of us cannot begin to imagine, yet they have hope, and it's their optimism thatinspires the Brighter Horizon family to push to domore. With your continued support, we plan to do justthat.
Special thanks to our Board for your commitment, ourmentors for volunteering your time, to the Scholarsfor their hard work, and their families who have beenengaged every step of the way.
Join us again in 2020, and inspire our young peopleto seek knowledge and share it!
Thankful For You,
