• Employment Under OlmsteadSpeakers: Darlene Zangara, Ph.D, Director of the Olmstead Implementation Office and Alex Bartolic,Director - Disability Services, MN Department of Human Services The Olmstead Plan seeks to ensureMinnesota will be a place where people with disabilities are living, learning, working and enjoying life inthe most integrated way possible. This presentation will provide the audience with a broad overview of theMinnesota Olmstead Plan that seeks to impact the lives of people with disabilities.

• Is the ADA “Working” for You? – Employment and the ADASpeaker: Cindy Tarshish, ADA Minnesota This session will cover the employment title of the Americans withDisabilities Act. Topics include: overview of the ADA, interviews, disability definition under the ADA, disclosure,reasonable accommodations, local and national resources and more. Come to learn, questions welcome.

• Twin Cities Public Television (tpt ) Documentary – The ADA at 25: Disability Rights in MinnesotaFacilitated by Former Senator David Durenberger The tpt documentary is a people’s story of a grass rootsmovement that led to one of the major pieces of civil rights legislation in US history. Issues that motivatedthis effort were driven by stigma, employment and accessibility – issues that are still significant today. Thisprogram shows viewers what is possible so they can overcome their own stereotypes, that jobs andaccessibility are not only governed by laws but by public perception.
