What is Hightail?


Hightail, which is formerly

Yousendit, is a cloud service


that lets users send, receive,

digitally sign and synchronize

files.


Here are the features of Hightail Lite Account (Basic Subscription):


ACCESSING HIGHTAIL


To access Hightail, open up a

browser


type in www.hightail.comon the address bar


Press Enter on your keyboard


This page will appear.


Click Sign-up to create an account


This is the page that will be displayed.


Key in your First name


Key in your Last Name


Enter your email address here


Your password here


Click on Sign Up


You may click Log-in if you already have an account.


This is the Hightail login screen.


Key in your email address.


Key in your password.


Click Log-in button.


UPLOADING FILES


To upload files, Click on My files tab


Click Upload


Choose file to upload


then click Open.


The file will now start to be uploaded.


Wait until the file is completely uploaded.


SENDING FILES


Click Send Tab to start sending files.


Key in recipient email address.


Key in the subject here.


Put in your message here.


Choose file to send from either desktop or Hightail folders.


For this presentation, the file

will be from desktop.


Choose Upload from Desktop.


Choose the file to upload


Click Open.


You will now see the chosen file uploaded.


If you want a copy of the

chosen file


on your Hightail Saved Folder,


Click here


Please note that Hightail will

show


as to when the file will expire.


The expiration date is the due

date as to when


the file will only be available

for the recipient.


You also have the option to

verify the recipient identity


and to get a return receipt


Click Send it to send to the intended recipients.


You will now see this page.


Now heres a confirmation that the file has been sent.


You will also receive an email

notification


that your file has been successfully sent.


A link will also be generated for your file


So that you can post online (email or website)


Do not forget that the link has an expiration date.


SIGNING A DOCUMENT


Click Sign tab to do an e-signature.


Choose a file that requires

your e-signature.


Choose either from Desktop or Hightail Folders


Let us choose a file

from the Hightail folder.


Select My Hightail Folders


Choose which file to sign.


Click Sign.


It will now convert your document to another format


Once the file is converted, you will see this notification.


Click the section of the

document that requires

signature.


Then you will see this screen.


You may either draw or type the your signature.


For this example, let us draw

the signature using the

mouse.


Click here.


Draw your signature here.


Once done, click Add.


The signature will now be added to your document.


Click Done.


You may choose to return, send or save the file.


TRACKING FILES


To track the files that you have

sent,


received and that are

expiring (links are expiring),


Click Tracker Tab


SHARING OF FILES


To share a file from Hightail,


Click here


Click Share


This window will pop-up


Key in the recipient email address here


Key in a message for the recipient


Edit the permission for the shared file here


Click Share.


This notification will pop up if sharing is successful.


The recipient will now see this kind of email.


If the email is clicked, this page will appear.


The recipient can click the View Folder.


The file is now accessible on recipients file list.


Also, note that shared folder will look like this.


If the recipient would like to

send a note


to the individual who shared

the file,


Click here


Click Send a Note


This window will pop-up


Type in the message here


Then click Send.


This notification will pop-up.


The member who shared the folder will receive this email.


This is how the message looks like.
