gomery
After being
setup by a mutual
friend Todd and
Kirbee Parkhouse
fell in love after
meeting on a
blind date. They
have now been
married for 21
years and have
four children:
Trent, Tucker,
Teegan, and Tess. Mr. Parkhouse proposed to Mrs. Parkhouse
after dating, for two years. One of their favorite activities was
to play golf so for Christmas he put the ring in the ring finger
of a golf glove. When she tried it on and took it off the ring was
upon her finger. They got married the falling October on the
23rd. The both decided their biggest accomplishment is their
kids.
David & Bonita Robinson
Mr. David Robinson and Mrs. Bonita Robinson have been
married for 30 years. They met at the University of the Cum-
berlands in the Baptist Student Union. During his senior year,
Mr. Robinson was the vice-president and Mrs. Robinson was
the president as a junior. After getting to know each other by
working together, they started running five miles every night.
In their family the big joke is that he chased her until he finally
caught her. He proposed on the beach after getting her ice
cream.

Couple Q & A: Do they
really know their valentine?
ROBINSONS cont.
After college they came back to Oneida for three
years. Then they moved to Louisville and worked at
a children’s home for two years. The Robinsons felt
the call back to Oneida for six years and had two
boys, Samuel and Simon Peter. God then had a new
plan for them to move to Whitesburg, Kentucky for
16 years. Three years ago they moved back to their
first home as a couple.
The both decided their biggest accomplishment
as a couple was their kids and the lives they have
affected through Christ. When asked how to de-
scribe each other Mrs. Robinson said he was “fan-
tab-u-lous” and he described her as “beautiful.”

Story Time with Spencer by Spencer Montgomery
In my family, mishaps happen more often than normal. Being a Montgomery comes with its
challenges, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
About ten years ago my dad completely forgot about Valentine’s Day. My mom continued to
drop hints, and finally at one on February 15th she got mad enough and told him he forgot. He
then went to Walmart and grabbed the first card he saw. The card read, “Sorry about your loss.
Thinking about you.” I guess you could say he never forgot again.
What should you do when your Valentine crushes both your legs at the same time while go-
ing to get you both of you dinner? My aunt was getting ready to back out of her driveway to get
pizza for dinner and didn’t see my uncle. She ran over him and broke both of his legs.
Lessons to be learned: read the card and look where you drive.
Dear Future Husband,
First off, I wanted to let you know that you were worth the wait. You truly are a God-given
gift. Second off, I want to apologize for being awkward and for being moody and for being cra-
zy. I also want to thank you for not leaving after having experienced those odd traits and killing
all the bugs that I can’t deal with (most likely all of them). I truly am blessed to have you.
Though I may have a hard time showing it, you mean more to me than words, pictures or even ac-
tions can express. I hope you have an irresistible smile that makes everyone around you smile. I
hope you have a heart so big that it shows to everyone who sees you. I hope your ability to make me
laugh lasts a lifetime. I hope that all it takes is one look, for me to see that you truly do genuine-
ly love me as much as I love you. Most importantly, I hope that your love for God seeps through
you and through everything you do. So stay strong and focused and stay on the path that God
has for you that leads you to me.
Love,
Your Future Wife Aisha Biyo
