Where & When

The O’Reilly Factor Fox News National Public Radio

Wednesday October 20, 2010

Why

“I'm not a bigot. You know the kind of books I've written about the civil rights movement in this country. But when I get on a plane, I've got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they're identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.”

- Juan Williams He spoke out against Muslims and the way they

dress. He perceived them as making him nervous while flying on a plane.

How

To express his opinion on Muslims in the United States and how they are ridiculed because of their religion, their clothing, and their Arabic language that makes people uptight, paranoid, and uneasy.

Conclusion In the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution,

it states: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercises thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

How far are we willing to go to use the freedom of speech to speak out against someone or something? The choice is yours.
