Physics of the Future

How science will shape human destiny and our daily lives by the year 2100

The Future of AI

Artificial Intelligence and Robots

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence

AI, for short, is simply put as thestuding and modeling of human mentalfunctions and processes by computerprograms. This includes decision making and learning new things.

Most Common Places you see AI:1) Video Games2) Automatic Vacuum Cleaners3) High-End Robots designed for AI tasks (Ex. ASIMO, Mars Rover)

Artificial Intelligence Advantages• Giving tedious tasks to robots• Have robot check your work• Have a robot test safety• Have a honorable opponent

(ex. Chess Robot)

Disadvantages• Only has the real world

experiences of the programers (Can't learn anything new without programing it to learn it)

• Can become predictable if you understand their strategy or niches (Will never pull a fast one on you).

• MAY take over world and render humans obsolete. (Robots may be in more abundance than us but they will always be our "children" and we can "turn them off.")

Robots and AI

With advances in robots and AI the future of the human race and how we  see it now may take a dramatic shift in the next 100 years.....

Will we have intelligent and smart robots?

Will we have robot "friends"?

Will we see an end to the "Human Era"?

Will we become a compilation of circuits, transistors, and computer processors???

Will we become............. Robots?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

What will be next?Immortality?

"I don't think the time is quite right, but it's close. I'm afraid, unfortunately, that I'm in the last generation to die."

-Gerald Sussman

Nanotechnology and Robots

The Future of Industry & Health

Nanotechnology

What is Nanotech?Nanotechnology is the study of manipulating matter on an atomic and molecular scale to create functional machines, computers, etc.

Where is Nanotech used?• Medicine (Analysis, drug injections, & (hopefully in the future)

Cancer reductions and tumor elimination)• The Environment (Filtration)• Energy (Greater energy efficency)• Information & Communications (Memory storage and quantum

computers)• Industry (general businesses)/Heavy Industry (Aerospace, Cars,

Catalysis, Construction)• Consumer Goods (Food, textiles, cosmetics, agriculture, etc.)

Nanotechnology and Robots - Medicine

Cancer and TumorsWith the development of nanotechnology, AI, and robots cancers and tumors may become a thing of the past. However, it won't be eliminated completely but become a disease more like that of the common cold. It will slowly become nearly nonexistent

Medicine & DrugsMore direct injection of drugs and cancer killing material.

One Interesting Fact

How would you like to have internet on the go and ALWAYS be able to connect to it ANYWHERE.

Well, with the increase in nanotechnology and computer power, that (and much more) will become a reality and part of your everyday life with the development of a computerized contact lens.

Yes. A contact lens.
