Author TheearlyandunanimousopinionisthatJohnMarkwrotethisgospel.HismotherwasMary,whohadalargehouseinJerusalem(Ac12:12).SomespeculatetheLastSuppertookplaceinherhome(Robertson’sWordPictures),alsothatMarkmayhavebeentheyoungmanwhoflednaked(Mk14:51-52).HiscousinwasBarnabas,aLevitefromCyprus(Ac4:36-37;Col4:10).
