WHAT’S INSIDE
The Lakeside Spirit
Join us as Lent comes to an end and Holy Week begins. Our children’s Easter celebration will be held April 13th with egg hunt & lunch organized by Merle Hughes. There will lots of fun, goodies and of course the story of the resurrec-tion. Palm Sunday follows with a triumphant entry to Jerusalem with a deli-cious Potluck Brunch. We’ll have ham and turkey here, bring your best brunch dish to go along. We will gather together for our Maundy Thursday service, starting at 6 pm. Janet Martin has planned a musical Good Friday service with an special adap-tation of the Easter cantata “The Cross Changes Everything” created by Jeff Bumgardner and Joel Lindsey and arranged by J. Daniel Smith. Narrated from Peter’s perspective, the St. Elmo Sound singers take us on a journey from Peter’s call to leave his fishing nets behind, the triumphal entry, and the grueling walk down the Via Dolorosa, to the crucifixion. St. Elmo Sound singers: Joanna Fritz, Bob Gage, Cathy Kjellsen, Janet Martin & Betsy Metcalf. Our narrator is Glenn Walser, Sound Technician is Ron Kjellsen. The glory of Easter and the resurrection comes on April 21st with our beauti-
ful worship service.
At left is the Resurrection Mural at the Museum of Biblical Arts in Dallas taken on a recent trip to the mu-seum on 3/28, a mas-sive and breathtaking artwork. Pictured (L to R) are Maria Grace, Joycelyn Calame, Betsy Metcalf, Mary Rist, Bea Kelley and Pat Metcalf (not pic-tured).

DID YOU
MISS IT?
March 31st was another great sing with 52 people pre-sent and lots of toe-tappin’ and singing going on! Featured
was the duo Ragweed, composed of Jeff Harrison on vocals and guitar and Dan Woods on the harmonica. They were joined by local artists Naomi White on the pi-ano, David Grosshans on the bongos, Tex Schutz on the dobro with Mary Schutz as our conductress and singer. We even coaxed Bob Gage up to the stage for a song! The music was good old time gospel songs. We also had plenty of great goodies and fellowship following the concert. AND we filled our food bin for the Food Pantry! Our next Fifth Sunday Sing will be June 30th. Why don’t you make plans to join us?

Age Gracefully—
Stand Up!
The Council recently decided that we should start putting the financial information into the Hear Ye and Newsletter, to give you an idea of how our church is do-
ing—financially. You will start seeing a small box in the Hear
Ye each Sunday notating our in-come and expense, along with the weekly giving. This information is taking a snapshot in time—please remember that expenses are not the
same each month, and that income ebbs and flows. If you have any questions about this in-formation, please ask Diane Jones, our Treasurer, or David Rist, our Finance Committee Chair.
