Time to act

• The norwegian MLA (ABM) decided to fund (after a lot of lobbying) a project called ”the library lab”

• The task was given to the library department at Oslo college

• The Library Lab established June 2007

What is happening?

• The framework is in place– Network/webspace/blog– Wiki– Funding for microprojects

• How to get participation?– Competition

• Mashup, or mashup idea• Design of a good library 2.0 webpage

Future

• Engage the community

• Be a clearinghouse for web 2.0 in libraries

• Become a hub in the network of ”tech” librarians and others

• Fund ”microprojects”

• ”The Gathering” for librarians
