Here at themodelmagazine we hope to provide an insight into the modelling world of not just the ‘elite supermodels’ that make it to the top, but also the ‘ordinary girl’ that goes on a casting from time to time. If you’re starting out in the modelling world or even work regularly as a model, we hope this online magazine will inspire and educate you about the industry. Not all modelling is fashion orientated – in reality any one could book a job as a print model if his or her particular look was required by a client. However sustaining a career as a model requires stamina, perseverance, knowledge and professionalism. You often find a lot of actors (myself included) balance acting with modelling as indeed do many singers and presenters. But the jobs that crop up tend to be the more commercial kind and not high fashion editorial work - but it does happen.
