• share experiences as a mother

• keep a record or diary of something specific

• make their voice heard

• communicate with other bloggers

• share knowledge/exchange ideas

• keep in touch with friends and family

• promote themselves as an expert/make a name for themselves

Conclusion:

• This presentation aims to illustrate the characteristics of the mommy blogs in the Philippines and to comment on how motherhood is represented through mommy blogs.

• Writers of the mommy blogs are at the same time readers of them that they together constitute an online community of mothers

• Mommy blogging is a new phenomenon in the Philippines and yet to develop, but at the same time there are reasons to believe that the internet in general or mommy blogs in particular appears as and grows to be suitable channels for multiple individual experiences related to motherhood both to find an audience and merge with others.
