ELTON B. SHERWIN, JR. Elton Sherwin is a venture

capitalist and the Senior Managing Director of Ridgewood Capital

in Palo Alto, California. At Ridgewood Capital, Mr. Sherwin invests

in "clean tech" companies. Prior to joining Ridgewood, he ran the

Silicon Valley office of Motorola Ventures.

Mr. Sherwin regularly speaks at conferences and guest lectures at

Stanford University. He serves on a number of boards of private

Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Mr. Sherwin held various

marketing and sales positions at IBM and Motorola, where he

helped design and introduce high-tech products. He is a graduate

of the University of California at Berkeley and has been granted

eight patents from the U.S. Patent Office.
