Volume 103 No. 5 One Nation Under God – The Charity of Christ Urges Us On May 2017
Dear Brother Knights, Sister Columbiettes, Families and
Friends,
As we now have said Goodbye to April and welcoming
in May and very soon the Columbian year will come to an
end. We held a meet and greet for our own Ed Newborn ,
starting off the month on April 2nd as we know , although
not yet official, that Ed will be the new State Warden
coming July 1st. Ed has held numerous offices as a Knight
but this will be his biggest Challenge and we support him
completely. We will be losing our Financial Secretary but
gain so much more. Jerry Scotti now will be switching
positions from Treasurer to our FS. We gave out knight of
the month awards at our meeting on April 20th with March
K of M being Dennis Maragliano and April being Joe
Nolan. As usual it is hard to pick these awards as we are
blessed with an active council. On April 22, the
Columbiettes held there spring dance entitled “A Little Bit
of Country” and along with Crystal Image they brought
in Country Line Dance instructors who entertained us as
well as taught all how to do line dances. We held our
annual Sheperds Night on April 4th, Spy Wednesday on
April 12th and our Communion Breakfast on April 23,
2017 where we gave our Rookie of the Year award to
Jim Mavricos, Knight of the Year To Rick Seaman and
Family of the Year to the Fregelette Family. In May we
have our May Crowning May 20th. I would like to thank
all that come down to help and as we approach the end
of the Columbian year please know that even a little
help goes a very long way.
Vivat Jesus,
Matthew V. Kuczinski Grand Knight

The Southern Knight
Insurance Corner:
Protecting Your Family… Business?
You already know that the Knight of Columbus is here for all
your personal and family financial protection needs, but did you
know that the Order can help secure your business too? As
your Knights of Columbus field agent, I can help you protect the
continuity of your business for years to come.
Business insurance is the term used in the insurance industry to
describe the use of life insurance and disability income
insurance to solve certain financial needs of businesses and
their owners. The products offered through the Order can cover
many needs, such as:
• Economic loss to the business when a key employee dies
• Disposition of a business owner’s interest upon death or other
separation from the business
If you’ve worked hard to establish a business, you owe it to
yourself and your family to learn about the opportunities that the
Knights of Columbus can offer.
With protection for the family, the business, the farm, retirement,
long term care and disability coverage, the Knight of Columbus
truly is your shield for all the elements of your life.
Fraternally,
Dan DiLauro - Knights of Columbus Field agent 17147
