The English language is one of the cutting-edge subjects in the basic and tertiary education curriculum. Yet, reality shows that seemingly the English language proficiency in the country is degrading.

If we already have been learning English for almost our entire life, and often hears that the country still is one of the best non-native speakers of English, what do you think is the cause of the proficiency downfall happening today?

In Filipino language, usually, the construction of the words corresponds to the utterance. It usually comes in strictly distinct unit wherein vowels are separately pronounced.

No one can ever master the complexities of grammar because it is subjected to change.

It can be understood by other users of the language.

Conveying an discernable meaning is the goal of language learning.

The terms that one use should be well understood by his/her listeners.

Our focus in teaching is

to help our students develop communicative and academic competencies.

The use of multidisciplinary approach in teaching language is very appropriate.

Should not only be contained in the cognitive development of cognitive and aesthetic appreciation.Should be

integrated in any subject
