The Silver Line is the UK’s only confidential, free, 24 hour helpline
offering information, friendship and advice for lonely and isolated
older people, available at any time day and night, every day of the
year. There’s no question too big, no problem too small and no
need to be alone. One of our earliest callers told us “when I get off
the phone I feel like I belong to the human race once again”

The Society promotes the public knowledge and appreciation of the
works of Stephen Sondheim. It also nurtures and supports new
musical theatre talent and hosts educational seminars, workshops and
masterclasses aimed, but not exclusively, at young talent. It stages
an annual Student Performer of the Year competition and maintains
the Stephen Sondheim Society Archive at Kingston University.
