2015Things we’ll remember about

January – Twelve are killed in terrorist attack on a French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.

March - German Wings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz crashes the plain in French alps killing all 150 passengers on board. Investigation reviled that he had suffered with severe mental health issues.

April - Jay Z launches music streaming app Tidal, hoping to attract paying subscribers with it’s very exclusive content.

April - 148 people were killed, the majority students, in a mass shooting at the Garissa University College in Kenya, perpetrated by the militant terrorist organization Al-Shabaab.

April - A major earthquake in Nepal measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale kills thousands of people and destroys several historic landmarks.

Princess Charlotte of Cambridge was born on May the 2nd

May - Conservatives win 12-seat majority in general elections and David Cameron remains a Prime Minister for another term.

May – Ireland becomes the first country to legalize same-sex marriage by popular vote.

June - we meet Caitlyn Jenner, former Olympian Bruce Jenner, famous for his role on the real life drama show Meet the Kardashians.

June – ISIS claims responsibility for four attacks around the world during the Ramadan, including the shooting in a

tourist resort in Tunisia where 44 holiday makers were killed while sunbathing on the beach.

July - The mass shooting in the church in Charleston, USA where nine people were killed by a gunman during Bible study. His actions united people Charleston who called for the removal of the Confederate flag.

July - NASA's New Horizons spacecraft performs a close flyby of Pluto, becoming the first spacecraft in history to visit the distant world.

October - an airliner en route to Saint Petersburg from Sharm el-Sheikh, crashes in Sinai desert, killing all 217 passengers and 7 crew members on board.

October - Nadiya Hussein wins The Great British Bake Off final

November - Multiple attacks claimed by ISIS In Paris, France, result in around 132 fatalities.

December – Paris Climate Change Conference: leaders, experts, and advocates from all the nations of the world will come together to finalize a new global climate agreement.
