MAHBUBNAGAR (AP), Oct 30:

Forty-five passengers,including a baby girl, werecharred to death and seven oth-ers suffered burns when a pri-vate luxury bus burst into flamesnear Palem village here today,police said.

"Charred bodies of 45 per-sons have been retrieved fromthe bus," Deputy InspectorGeneral (Hyderabad Range) VNaveen Chand told here.

The accident occurred short-ly after 5 am when the dieseltank of the Hyderabad-boundbus from Bangalore hit the rail-

ing above a culvert near Palem,around 130 km from Hyderabad

on Bangalore-HyderabadNational Highway when itsdriver was trying to overtake acar, police said.(PTI)
