WelcomeWelco
me
Dear Friends,
Welcome to our 2013 Brochure, we expect that you didn’t think that you would be seeing another one of these this year, and to be
fair neither did we!
But after many demands to keep Golden Holidays trading and a change of heart with regards to retirement, we have decided to carry
on with a new and very much improved business. We have taken over the coaches of Burtons of Alfreton and are continuing with
their business, as it would have been too much for the area to bear if two quality operators were lost in the same year.
The introduction of better value holidays has been most successful and we are keeping the same format for 2013; late availabilities and
short breaks have also proved to be popular, so it is our intention to provide more of these during 2013.
The ‘Old Faithfuls’ which we all know many of you enjoy such as; Eastbourne, Llandudno, Great Yarmouth etc, will continue as before,
but if you really want to try something a little more exciting then we can highly recommend our themed holidays, many of which have
admissions and excursion costs included in the price.
We look forward to your continued support and providing you with the same level of service that we always have.
Sincerely yours
Pam & Tim
EXCURSIONS
All excursions are carefully planned to offer a balance of organised
and free time. The coach travel on all excursions is included in the
price; however, entrance fees, admission charges and show tickets
are not included in the price unless otherwise stated in the itinerary.
We reserve the right to alter, adjust and amend advertised itinerary
times and days depending on the weather, hotel meal times and
other influences outside of our control.
EXPERIENCED UNIFORMED DRIVERS/COURIERS
Our drivers/couriers have been selected not only for their high
standards of driving, but also for their caring, enthusiastic and
friendly manner. You will find them willing to listen to requests and
special needs, also to answer questions and queries throughout
your tour. This is the Golden Holidays policy as we value our
customers and wish you to come back time after time.
FINANCIAL SECURITY
Golden Holidays operate a ‘client trust fund account’ to comply with
EU Directive 30/314. In the unlikely event that we should cease
trading you are guaranteed repayment of all monies paid or the
completion of your holiday if it has already commenced.
LATE AVAILABILITY HOLIDAY
From time to time we are offered late availability holidays at short
notice at some very special prices. If you are able to drop everything
at short notice, then you might like to have your name added to our
late availability mailing list or your mobile number so that we can
text you with special offers. Please telephone now and ask for Pam.
GROUPS
If you are a group or party organiser please allow us to help, we
have a wealth of experience in organising all aspects of coach travel
and accommodation. Be it to organise a holiday, short break, outing
or to see a show, we are available to arrange a package tailor-made
to suit your individual requirements. Please telephone and ask for
Pam or Tim.
HOTELS
All our hotels have been carefully selected with your comfort in mind.
Accommodation is based on bed, breakfast and evening meal, unless
otherwise stated, leaving plenty of time for the inclusive full and half day
excursions, enabling you to enjoy the surroundings, scenery and places
of interest. All bedrooms are en-suite with colour TV and tea/coffee
making facilities. Many of our hotels offer regular entertainment which
includes dancing, live music, bingo etc.
LUXURY COACH TRAVEL
Your safety is of paramount importance to us and our vehicles are
maintained to the highest standards. This together with our fleet being
fitted with road speed governors and conforming to the legal legislation
safety measures, ensures our commitment to your peace of mind.
Coaches are equipped with seat belts, reclining seats, tinted windows,
curtains and some with toilet and drinks machine.
DOOR-TO-DOOR PICKUP
You will be informed of your pickup time 7 days prior to departure. You
will be collected from your door by one of our ‘feeder’ mini coaches
or by taxi and taken to meet the main holiday coach at a suitable
central location at Tibshelf. This eliminates hours of travelling around
various pickup points and enabling the coach to commence its journey
immediately after loading, the reverse applies on return.
LUGGAGE
Your driver will take care of your luggage (you are not expected to
carry your own suitcase), but the company cannot accept responsibility
for loss or damage unless it can be proved that it is due to negligence
on the company’s part. We have now put a maximum limit of 15kgs
(33lbs) in weight and no larger than 26ins x 8ins x 15ins in size. If
the weight or size is exceeded there will be a £15 surcharge payable.
NO SMOKING
All coaches are designated NO SMOKING zones. Passengers are
reminded to refrain from smoking until the regular ‘comfort’ stops.
Due to Health & Safety, please adhere to our Luggage conditions below, if you require any guidance please call us and we will gladly help.

Weston Super MareWeston like so many other resorts was little more than
a fishing village until the seaside was “discovered”. Two
piers were built between 1867 and 1904 establishing
its holiday town status adding that dash of Victorian
and Edwardian splendour. Weston has further
developed into a lively modern resort with a full range
of attractions to entertain the holidaymaker. The sea
disappears into the distance at low tide leaving behind
an expanse of golden sandy beaches.

or licensing requirements; (b) Fuel duty increases; (c) Increase in VAT or its scope
and coverage.
13) IF WE CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAY – It is necessary for there to be a minimum
number of passengers before we can operate at all. In certain circumstances we
may have no alternative but to cancel your holiday. Should this occur we will
return to you all the money which you have paid to us. If we cancel your holiday
within 28 days of departure you will be entitled to another holiday of your choice
at £15 less than the advertised price.
14) SEAT ALLOCATION – Requests for particular coach seats can be made when
booking your holiday, but allocations are made strictly on a first come first served
basis.
15) DOOR-TO-DOOR PICKUPS – Because of the wide area that we cover to save
time it may be necessary to collect and return some passengers in special ‘feeder’
mini coaches or by taxi. Whilst we appreciate that everybody would like to be
returned home first, this is not always possible. However, should you wish, a taxi
could be arranged to meet the coach at a predetermined point on return for an
additional charge.
16) TRAVEL BY AIR – To comply with CAA regulations, Golden Holidays act as
retail agents for Destinations Specialists, ATOL protected 9503. Other conditions
may apply.
17) HEALTH & SAFETY – New EU Directives now stipulate that our coach drivers
must take their breaks away from their vehicles. During this period passengers will
be asked to vacate the coach and the vehicle will then be secured.
PLEASE MAKE CHEQUES PAYABLE TO GOLDEN HOLIDAYS.
