– Class of 2014: 95.1%– Class of 2013: 83.4%

• Office of Institutional Research

– Class of 2010: 68%– Class of 2008: 73%– Classes of 1990–2006: 76–82% – Classes of 1960–1989: 70–80%

Yale’s Senior Survey Response Rates

• 2013 & 2014:

– Survey respondents were sent a “class list” of contact and placement information for their graduating class

– Access to the class list was an incentive to complete the 2014 survey

Success of Yale’s response rate

• Because of high response rate, social media is not relied on for initial data

• LinkedIn is used to verify that the student got or took the job, if listed as “in progress” on survey

• The Office of Career Strategy finds facebook more effective than LinkedIn or Twitter for reaching current students
