History• Our present transportation department was fully
active in the late 1950s. Prior to that, Ken-Ton contracted with Willy’s Bus Service to transport its students.
• In 1958, we had approximately 30 buses which were all parked inside the bus garage on Colvin Boulevard. Our drivers were mainly policemen and firemen and were exclusively male.
• We now have more female drivers than male drivers from very diverse backgrounds. For 2008-09, we have about 8,400 students enrolled in Ken-Ton of which more than 6,000 are transported.
