BenefitsFast deployment time with less risk
RulesManager allows you to configure Maximo faster fasterrule writing, faster testing, faster deployments. Wheneverthe rule writer is finished writing the rule or several rules incombination, they then simply click the publish button inthe editor. The rules are sent back to the Maximo server andthe new rules are instantly in place. No restart of the webserver, no redeployment or modification to the EAR files andno system reboots are required. A user can keep a Maximopage in a browser, modify a rule in the editor, publish andsimply refresh in the browser to test the rule. In this way, rules
can be tweaked and modified easily to reach the desiredresult. The development time savings are immense.

Reduced Risk
This capability greatly reduces the risk of configuring yoMaximo system compared to how you would have modify Maximo without Rulesmanager by extending tjava classes or creating triggers. Imagine the hundreds extended java classes that would have to be moved frodevelopment to testing to production, with the risk of ncopying all of them or not copying all of them correceach time. With RulesManager, you write rules and sendproduction services in a single file.
RulesManager sits completely on the outside of Maximo anever alters the base code.

Increased Return on Your Investment
Maintain Previous Customizations
TRM RulesManager was designed specifically with our clientsreturn on investment in mind. Since registration informationis not shared, RulesManager works in addition to anyextension already in place. This protects your investment inprevious customizations.
Take your rules with you when you upgrade
Rules written today are guaranteed to work from todayforward. Any rule written in any version of RulesManager(from Maximo version 5.1) will function with any version of
Maximo going forward. Customers who have written rules
as far back as Maximo 5.1 are today deploying the exarules files in Maximo 6.2. This demonstrates the long-temaintenance costs savings.
Resolve issues easier
Since RulesManager SE sits on the outside of Maximo aexists as an adjunct technology. RulesManager SE can turned off completely with a single switch and restarting tweb service. If there is ever a support issue involving tproduct, you can temporarily switch the product off completand test the system without it. When RulesManager is turnoff, Maximo reverts to a 100% IBM Maximo version of itse
