Welcome to the Tumbleweed Tiny House catalog! The year was 1999, when our first tiny home was mounted to a trailer. The little home was named Tumbleweed because it had roots and was mobile all at the same time. And in that moment, the seeds for a housing revolution were planted.
Today, Tumbleweed means living well—with beautiful designed homes and interior floor plan choices. There’s no reason to sacrifice when living in our tiny Houses-To-Gos. We’re proud to offer the Linden, Elm and Cypress as classic wood cabin homes. Today, our plans offer different internal layouts including the Overlook, Equator, Horizon, Arise, Clear and others. Simply put, builders and buyers may now select from these great room, sleeping, kitchen and bathroom arrangements. And we offer a modern home, the Mica, for those who want to live on a single floor.
In 2013, the seeds have grown into a forest. Tumbleweeders still build homes from our plans. And there’s are a new, growing tribe of buyers, who can order and finance Tumbleweed ready-made houses on wheels. Small home living is not only an aspiration—it’s a reality.
A Letter From Meg Stephens, Lead DesignerIt has been a joy connecting with the tiny home community, while designing and enhancing our tiny houses for you. We hope our catalog of Houses-To-Gos, which are RVIA certified, lives up to your dreams and practical expectations.
Please reach us with your questions and comments anytime. I’ll be listening at support@tumbleweedhouses.com.

The CYPRESS is the most popular Tumbleweed style
to date. This design makes use of the most interior space by incorporating a corner porch and utilizing the extra room as interior space. The rhythm of the design and the depth that the recessed porch and hip roof give this model add an aesthetic that has led to the overwhelming popularity of this design.

The ELM is the most iconic facade of the Tumbleweed
designs with the custom arched window above the door. The beauty and function of this house has stood the test of time. Optional dormers are available in the loft for added space, light, and cross breeze. The full porch and custom lancet window give this exterior facade the charm and elegance that started it all.

The LINDEN is the newest addition to the Tumbleweed
family of tiny homes. The openness of the great room, perfect for small gatherings and meetings, and the innovative new loft are the major features of this design. The roof includes two dormers that not only let in more light and give space but also add to the overall classic proportions of the facade. The full porch gives a nice outdoor sitting area to enjoy a relaxing evening.

These homes are stationary designs built as a main house or guest house. Most of the plans have an optional extra bedroom in back. The house sizes range from 261 sq ft up to 874 sq ft. We do not build the Cottages. They are designed to be built on site with a local contractor of your choosing.*
*Some municipalities have setback requirements, use and/or habitation prohibitions, size restrictions, minimum size prohibitions, and/
or other regulations restricting the installation of certain structures or their use for certain functions on some properties. Ask your local
building/housing and zoning departments if a Tumbleweed Tiny House is right for you.

DIMENSIONS & COSTS
Cottages | BodegaThe BODEGA and all the small houses that follow make great auxiliary dwellings. There is a full bath and a kitchen, and even a washer/dryer unit below the counter. The loft is not counted in the square footage, because with so much sloped ceiling, it doesn’t officially count as a habitable room. That said, with seven feet of ceiling height over more than 70 square feet, this heated loft provides plenty of usable space.
The kitchen maximizes spaces and includes a dishwasher, full size range with oven, and built in microwave. The tank-less on demand water heater ensures that you never run out of hot water, and tucks away completely out of view. A small fireplace is tucked nicely in the corner of the great room.
If you’d like more, you can opt for a downstairs bedroom addition as shown below.
We do not build this house, however you may purchase the plans ($759) to build it.

The LORING is the bungalow version of the Bodega that was just described. All the amenities remain the same except that a small bump-out has been added in the loft.Once again, the loft is not counted as square footage, even though there is plenty of usable space up there. If you were to count the loft in the total square feet, this building would measure just over 400 square feet without the add-on bedroom.
The kitchen maximizes spaces and includes a dishwasher, full size range with oven, and built in microwave. The tankless on demand water heater ensures that you never run out of hot water, and tucks away completely out of view. A small fireplace is tucked nicely in the corner of the great room.

In this design, the BODEGA, described earlier, has been turned sideways and lengthened by about 2 feet for the sake of maintaining good proportions. All of the amenities remain. The NEW VESICA is 289 square feet. The optional add-on bedroom (plan shown below) brings the downstairs to 384 square feet.
The kitchen includes a dishwasher, full size range with oven, and built in microwave. The tankless on demand water heater ensures that you never run out of hot water, and tucks away completely out of view. An under counter washer/dryer is also included. The HARBINGER is the dutch hip version of the Bodega previously described. In this case a bump out in front provides enough room to create what is esentially an additional bedroom or sitting room downstairs. If one were to count the loft as square footage, this house actually would measure almost 510 square feet, or 410 square feet with the additional bedroom.
The kitchen maximizes spaces and includes a dishwasher, full size range with oven, and built in microwave. The tankless on demand water heater ensures that you never run out of hot water, and tucks away completely out of view. A small fireplace is tucked nicely in the corner of the great room. A washer/dryer combo in the kitchen makes this home complete.

The WHIDBEY’s main floor is similar to that of the Enesti, except that a bump-out in front is used to house a downstairs bedroom. A second optional downstairs bedroom is also available. The upstairs square footage in this house is not included because with so much sloped ceiling, it doesn’t officially count as a habitable room. That said, there is plenty of heated space to walk around in up there, that can be used as you see fit. At its peak, the ceiling in the loft is 7'6” tall. The kitchen maximizes spaces and includes a dishwasher, full size range with oven, and built in microwave. The tank-less on demand water heater ensures that you never run out of hot water, and tucks away completely out of view.

The B-53 is another of our “not-so-tiny” houses. It's the biggest house we offer at this time. It’s essentially a bungalow style version of the Enesti. The Z-GLASS is similar to the Popomo but larger. It measures 370 square feet, almost three times bigger than its smaller cousin. Because of its size, the house is not designed as a portable structure, but rather as a home afixed to a permanent foundation. Still, at 14’ wide, it can be trucked down the road. The model shown here has hot rolled steel siding. We do not build this house, however, you may purchase the plans ($759) to build it.
