Update on Returnees
• Since the official opening by MOFA on 23rd June 2020
• A total of 888 have so far been received
• So far, 23 returnees (20 citizens, 3 residents) have tested positive
• 19 arrived from Afghanistan (11; 8)
• 3 arrived from India
• 1 arrived from SA
• Next expected flights are on 10th and 11th July
• Halt on returning flights and will resume after decongestion of quarantine sites – expected flights were cleared before this decision.

Update on maskdistribution
5,124,019 face masks have been distributed so far (17/135 districts; 12.5%)
Distribution started in the border districts and has now moved to districts with cities and municipalities.
Distribution in Kampala Metropolitan area will tentatively begin next week and 1,332,886 masks will be given to the population in this area.

Challenges
• Lack of functional institutional quarantine sites in Kyotera district • There is no waiting area for truck drivers at Mutukula POE after testing.
• Delayed release of funds for masks, expansion of bed capacity and food for
quarantined individuals
• Stock out of supplies including PPEs
• CTUs are understaffed, with work shared among Nurses and Doctors.
• Treatment units have depleted funds – with dwindling funds available for food
