insights from a range of disciplines into the effect of knowledge leakage on UK productivity
Objectives• To explore if companies appreciate the significance of knowledge
leakage
• To categorise knowledge leakage as a function of firm and inter-firm activities
• To develop an outline methodology for companies to assess their knowledge leakage holistically, to understand the risks and benefits associated with the leaks
• To provide an assessment as to the potential effect of knowledge leakage on productivity

Leakage has from the conception of the project been defined as:
• A flow in any direction
• Having positive, negative or neutral consequences
• For any configuration of organisation(s) and organisation

• Case Studies: 2 sets of very in depth triangulated interviews completed others in progress and planned
• Questionnaires: 1000+ just sent out. Already have 30+ responses

• Many companies had never considered knowledge leakage and said their eyes had been opened. Examples:
