How to to select sports and combative sports?

• Impossible to teach all sports or all combative sports

• Prof. Fernando Gonzalez – classified the sports based on the tactical problem and teach each kind of sports: invasion games; net and wall games; target games; fielding games.

• Prof. Luiz Gustavo Rufino – did the same with the combative sports

Conclusion

• PE in schools show kids: different possibilities to practice combative sports:– different kinds of combative sports such as

wrestling to practice– different ways to use combative sports in their life's:

• Professional athlete• free time• Spectator• Coach• …..

• If a kid in school get interest in wrestling, we need:– Specific programs or places to learn;– Good professionals (coaches, teachers)

University + federation

Reality of Physical Education courses on University is the same as in school and students

don’t have a good background in combative sports

– Impossible to teach all;– We should teach in the same perspective

If students (future teacher/coach) wants to know more about wrestling:

– Federation program to develop teachers/coaches– Interchange programs

Government also could help with:– More Social programs for sport, like “Second

Time” and others: – Increase the interchange between countries:• Students• Teachers• Coaches• Researchers

– National university leagues• This could help specially the athletes

Other things– Conferences and meetings: university, federation,

coaches– Financial support for researches: • Action research
