I like using Glary Utilities. It has an easy to use interface with one click access. And theAdvanced Tools contains many useful items such as a quick defragger and and easy to useprogram uninstaller.

But it is always telling us there is an update available. Glary is not an antivirus, but the malware itis looking for changes with the inclusion of new threats on the Internet. If we do not get the latestupdate we are leaving our computer open to harboring a piece of harmful malware. So, yes, it isimportant to allow the updates. Just be careful what you click on.

This screen is telling us there is an update available. And we do want to do the update.Press OK.

Locate the Download Now link and click it.

This brings you to the download page at cnet.com. There are numerous Download buttons onthis screen. They all download something different. The ONLY one you want is the one in the topleft right under the Welcome Glary Utilities users banner.

And you click the BIG Yellow DOWNLOAD NOW button

When the download finishes, run it. since you already have an older version installed, you needto click YES to this screen.

Now that the old version is gone, Click NEXT to start the install of the latest version. .

Agree to the License Agreement by clicking I AGREE.

Unless you have a reason to change the default folder to store the program in click INSTALL.

The install will take a little while. Be patient.

All done with the install. Click FINISH.

Click SCAN FOR ISSUES to check your computer.

Be patient. This takes a little while. (Notice the Versio # in the lower right corner)

When it finishes you see a summary of what issues were uncovered. To accept and fix them.click REPAIR PROBLEMS and wait for it to finish.

You may see this “nag” screen every once in a while. Since you have the FREE version theywould like you to upgrade to the Pro version and give you a pretty good discount to do so. If yoursdoes not say 70% off, wait for the next one until you get that discount. You can run with the freeversion forever. There are some advantage besides not getting the nag screen. So for $12 it is anice donation for a super set of utilities.
