What’s an upgrade?◦ A process to replace all or part of a current system with

improved functionality and performance.

What is it NOT?◦ Not a full implementation like we completed in FY 2009.

Why upgrade?◦ Support for Banner 7 will discontinue at the end of FY

2010. This is a normal process for a vendor◦ We also want to take advantage of new functionality in

the Banner 8 version.

Banner System will come down March 10th 5:00 p.m. (ct)

The system will come back up March 16th 8:00 a.m. (ct)

System is down Thursday (3/11), Friday 3/12), and Monday 3/15).

Finance related◦ TechBuy◦ Travel System◦ Traffic & Parking system◦ Property Inventory system◦ Interdepartmental Billing through Gateway◦ Direct Pays◦ Contract Database◦ Contract Accounts Receivable◦ Vendor Queries◦ PARs

View Cognos reports◦ Data will be from close of business on 3/10/2010.

offices until Banner comes up
