Introduction
This document is the user guide for our integration which connects your PureResponse account to Salesforce.
If the integration software is not yet installed, please follow our installer guide before you start.

Uploading a contact list to your Response account from your CRM
1) Navigate to new contact list page in your PureResponse account.
2) Enter the list name and then select the language for your new contact list.
3) Using the radio selector, choose the Salesforce list upload option
Note: Only selection of the Salesforce option will mean campaign data will be fed back to Salesforce.
4) A list of your Salesforce campaign lists will be shown.
5) Choose the campaign list you want to upload and click next.
6) On the following page all the available fields in your Salesforce contact records will be shown in a drop-down box. You will need to map these fields to fields in your new PureResponse list.
7) In the Custom fields area you need to choose a name for any custom fields you would like and then match the Salesforce field name as required.
If you have previously added custom fields to any lists then their names will be available in another set of drop-down boxes on the left of the page. You can either pick a name from the drop-down list or enter a new name to use into the alternative column name.

8) On the final page you will need to enter an email address for notification of when the upload process is complete. Once this is done, click the finish button. As soon as your list is available to use you will be notified by email.
Scheduling a campaign in Response
1) To schedule a campaign in Response, click the schedule campaign button in the campaigns option in the navigation menu.
2) Select Salesforce lists and/or filters as required.
Note: It is not possible to have a mix of Salesforce and non-Salesforce lists or filters for a PureResponse campaign.
3) When finished click the next button.
4) On the Schedule Campaign page you will need to select the message you wish to send.
For the selected message:
Ensure that link tracking and event notifications are enabled. You can hover on the tracking & web analytics area to see the current settings:

If they are not enabled then go to the following checkboxes and ensure they are ticked:
5) Finally choose when the campaign should be sent out. If you wish you can choose an automated follow up campaign to people who don’t open.
Recipient activity in Salesforce
You can view the recipient activity within Salesforce CRM.
The system will transmit the following event notifications based on recipient activity:
• Email OPEN• Link CLICK• Recipient OPTOUT• Recipient OPTIN • Email BOUNCE• Email BLOCKED• Email SOFTBOUNCE• Delivery START• Delivery END
The Campaign Events panel will show completed PureResponse campaigns:

The Campaign Event Responses panel shows all events that have taken place within PureResponse campaigns. This can be viewed against the campaign and also against any individual lead or contact:

Salesforce Reporting
The Campaign Event and Campaign Event Responses Custom Objects may also be used in Salesforce reports. This will enable you to produce detailed recipient activity reports within Salesforce.
The basic procedure is:
1. Click Reports & Dashboards 2. Click New Report3. Select Other Reports - Campaign Events | Campaign Event Responses
