AC Technology
Yale AC technology Class H tractionmotors are suitable for the mostarduous applications. Smooth forwardand reverse directional changesproviding seamless driving action. Inthe high-performance or ‘HiP’ setting,AC technology provides increasedspeed and acceleration, even whenfully laden, and increased speed ongrade. As well as improvingperformance, AC technology reducesmaintenance and allows serviceintervals of 1000 hours for mostcomponents.
BrakesThe truck is equipped with automaticpark brake and oil immersed brakes.Automatic YaleStop™ park brake:spring applied, electro magneticallyreleased park brakes are mounted atthe end of both motors. The park brakeis automatically set by the controlsystem, so that the brake is always setwhenever the truck is not moving, andno traction has been requested.Moreover the park brake providescontrollability on ramp applications.
SteeringA 12 KW AC motor drives a pumpwhich provides oil pressure for thehydraulic pump and for steering,eliminating the need for a separatesteering motor and pump. The steeringcolumn is infinitely adjustable in arange of 26º. During cornering thespeed of the drive motors iscontinuously adjusted independentlyby the traction controller ensuringsmooth operation. The Yale VFfeatures a state-of-the-art newcustomised steer-axle that hasincreased articulation of the steerwheels, allowing it to turn in smallerspaces than a conventional 4-wheelsteer-axle.
Performance modesPerformance of the truck can betailored via the enhanced overheaddisplay, with 4 performance modesavailable to suit the requirements of theapplication or the preferences of thedriver. For maximum speed andacceleration, choose mode 4, or formore delicate maneuvering andextended battery life, mode 1 is ideal.
Your service technician can alter thetop speed and acceleration of mode 4,with modes 1, 2 and 3 beingautomatically adjusted as percentagesof setting 4.
‘eLo’ and ‘HiP’ SettingsYale VF trucks feature an ‘eLo’ energysaving setting (accessible via the dashdisplay with service password), whichprovides exceptional energy efficientperformance for when you requirecontinuous operation over longerperiods without recharging the battery.You can choose the ‘HiP’ highperformance setting for higher topspeeds and acceleration for the mostdemanding applications.
Improved ergonomicsThe VF is designed for optimumoperator comfort.
The operator is seated in anergonomically designed position formaximum safety, comfort, visibility andease of operation. The truck features avery low step height, generous floorand storage space, standard grabhandle for ease of entry and standardreverse grab handle. The fullsuspension seat has 80mm ofadjustment. A swivel seat option for asuperior reverse driving position isavailable. Both the mini-lever moduleand the manual levers have anintegrated direction switch. Clearfootwell allows easy access from bothsides.
MastsA full range of Yale Hi-Vis™ 2 stageLFL and 2 and 3 stage FFL masts areavailable. Yale Hi-Vis™ masts aredesigned for maximum visibility, withwidely spaced channels, lift chains andmain lift cylinders. The new Yale ClearView™ Mast with class-leadingvisibility is offered on the 1.6 Toncapacity.
BatteryChoice of 2 battery sizes: DIN and BS.
Choice of 2 wheelbases:Depending on the capacity, there is achoice of Medium Wheelbase (MWB),and Long Wheelbase (LWB). The LWBversions provide extra battery spaceand longer shift life. MWB versionsoffer improved maneuverability andreduced stacking aisle dimensions.Battery discharge indicator and liftinterrupt are standard on all trucks.
Low lifetime costsLower maintenance costs as a result ofless maintenance by oil immersedbrakes, electric park brake, andCANbus and AC technology.Transmission is sealed for life,eliminating the need for service. LEDlight packages are offered as anoption.
1000 hours service interval for mostcomponents.
Auto Regen Braking optimises the shiftlife of the battery and contributes to anincrease in the life of parts.
