Vigor companies make up the
leading ship construction, repair
and modernization providers in
the Pacific Northwest.
Vigor companies build and maintain
ferries and fishing boats. Fix aircraft
carriers and icebreakers. Fabricate
barges and tugs. We make drilling rigs
safer and more energy efficient and
create platforms to capture energy
from ocean waves or from landfill
gases. We have leading facilities,
expanded capacity and the best
trained people in the industry
to build, repair or upgrade
your marine or land-based
projects. On budget. On
time. In our premier
facilities across the
Northwest, and
wherever we can
help our customers
succeed.
Portland: On 60 acres along the Willamette River, Vigor subsidiaries offer three
drydocks with up to 30,000 long ton capacity, more than 10,000 ft of pier space and 18 cranes
on our privately owned Swan Island center. Fair weather and extensive indoor facilities allow US
Fab, Vigor Marine, Vigor Machine and Specialty Finishes to build, repair, assemble and paint
year-round. Vigor Industrial and Portland Community College jointly operate and teach welding
skills at the Swan Island Training Center on company grounds.
Seattle: On Harbor Island, Vigor Marine, US Fab and Vigor Shipyards build and repair
vessels on three floating docks with up to 18,000 long ton capacity, on six piers, with 13 cranes
and in indoor assembly, machine and paint shops. Workers at this 27-acre center build on the
nearly one hundred-year history of Todd Pacific Shipyards, which Vigor Industrial purchased in
2011. Teams here are building the ninth straight vessel for Washington State Ferries, the largest
ferry system in the United States. Seattle staff also regularly work on commercial ships, Navy
vessels, Coast Guard cutters and ice-breakers.
Tacoma: Along the Middle River on Commencement Bay, Vigor Marine operates a
five-acre full service yard specializing in commercial fleets and ship modernization. Tacoma
workers are masters at cutting and “stretching” vessels to increase storage capacity as well as
make them more fuel efficient.
Everett: In central Puget Sound, Vigor companies operate a 3.6-acre full-service yard
for ship fabrication, repair and outfitting. Our roots serving the Everett maritime community date
back some 70 years. Vessels worked on in Everett include fishing vessels, tugs, cargo ships,
passenger vessels as well as aircraft carrier maintenance at Naval Station Everett.
Bremerton: The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard is our prime location for
aircraft carrier and other Navy maintenance. Vigor Shipyards is one of only three companies
nationwide entrusted with the maintenance of these national security assets.
Port Angeles:
where the Puget Sound meets the North Pacific make Washington Marine Repair in Port Angeles
a first choice for topside repair.
