MECHANICAL NARRATIVE:
THE MECHANICAL SCOPE OF WORK FOR THIS PROJECT LOCATED IN THE LOWER LEVEL OF CONCOURSE C 9100 PENA BLVD DENVER, CO IS TO REMOVE AND REPLACE THE EXISTING SUMP PUMPS AND SEWAGE EJECTOR PUMPS IN THEIR ENTIRETY WHICH WILL INCLUDE NEW CONTROLS AND POWER. IN ADDITION, THE EXISTING SUMPS WILL BE REHABILITATED WHICH WILL INCLUDE REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING LADDER, SUMP LID, REPAIRING CRACKS AT THE SUMP WALLS, BASE AND PIPE INLETS, SEALING THE WALLS AND BASE, AND LINING THE ENTIRE SUMP WITH A SPRAY ON LINER. ALL METALS TO BE RECYCLED PER SPECS. CONTRACTOR TO INSERT DYE OR OTHER TRACING MATERIAL IN ALL FOOTING SUMPS AND DETERMINE LOCATION OF OUTFLOW OF FOOTING PUMPS.
ELECTRICAL NARRATIVE:
THE ELECTRICAL SCOPE OF WORK INCLUDES REMOVING POWER FROM THE EXISTING PUMPS, LOCKING OUT THE BREAKERS AND PROTECTING THE EXISTING BRANCH CIRCUITS IN PLACE. THEN RECONNECTING THE NEW PUMPS TO THAT SAME BRANCH CIRCUITS USED TO POWER THE PREVIOUS PUMPS. THE NEW PUMPS WILL HAVE THE SAME HP RATING AND ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS AS THE EXISTING PUMPS. ALL EXISTING ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS SHALL REMAIN INTACT AND BE UTILIZED TO SERVE THE NEW EQUIPMENT. A LOCAL ALARM HORN AND STROBE SHALL ALWAYS BE REQUIRED AT OR NEAR THE SUMP PUMP CONTROL PANEL TO ENSURE TIMELY RESPONSE. A REMOTE ALARM, STROBE ONLY, SHALL BE PROVIDED ABOVE THE DOOR TO THE SUMP PUMP ROOM WHERE IT CAN BE OBSERVED BY BUILDING OCCUPANTS. NEW PIPE, WIRE, BOXES, FITTINGS AND SUPPORTS WILL BE INSTALLED FOR THE ADDITION OF THE ALARM ANNUNCIATOR PANELS. THE LOCATION OF ALL NEW PUMP CONTROL EQUIPMENT WILL REMAIN THE SAME AS EXISTING. ALL PUMP LABELS WILL BE UPDATED WITH NEW IDENTIFICATION TAGS SHOWING THE PUMPS NAME AND ELECTRICAL INFORMATION.
