Watch for Bed Bugs

» Inspect guest rooms every day for Bed Bugs.

Inspect mattresses, box springs, bed frames, headboards and footboards and the other furniture in the room.

Look very closely at mattress seams, edges and covers for signs of adult bed bugs. Also look for signs of smaller-sized (younger) bed bugs and eggs.

When changing bed linens, look for small spots of blood on the bottom sheet.

They may appear in a row.

If you thInk you see sIgns of Bed Bugs In a hotel room you are cleanIng: • Do not take anything from the room. Leave the vacuum, sheets and any cleaning items you were using in the room. This stops the spread of bed bugs to other hotel rooms.

• Inspect yourself and your clothing for signs of bed bugs before leaving the room.

• Leave the room and close the door.

• Tell the supervisor on duty right away that you have seen signs of bed bugs.
