BY: REUT FINKELSTEIN

WATER DEFLECTED WITH CHARGED ROD:

Water deflected with charged rod:

Put a charged rod next to a stream of water.

The rod will deflect the stream.

The stream will bend toward the rod.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Charges

Water stream

On one side have more positive charge then negative charge.

On the other side there is more of negative charge then positive charge.

Charged rod

On one side have more positive charge then negative charge.

On the other side there is more of negative charge then positive charge.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Bringing a negatively charged rod next to the positive side of the water the molecules will position themselves near the rod causing attraction between the water stream and the charged rod.

Bringing a positively charged rod next to the negative side of the water the molecules will position themselves near the rod causing attraction between the water stream and the charged rod.

THE END!
