Step 1: Sign Up

• Go to either http://join.4sq.com/dwaynekilbourne or directly to http://foursquare.com/ and create a user account.

• Note: if you go to first link, foursquare provides the easy instructions for you!

Step 2: Claim Your Venue(s)

• Search for your business (https://foursquare.com/search)

• You might find multiple results for a location, but just pick one (and then merge the other afterwards)

• On right side of the venue page, there should be a spot to claim it!

Step 3: Complete Claim Process

• foursquare makes it easy to verify you are authorized to act on behalf of business

• Follow step-by-step questions• If you run into problems, tweet @4sqSupport

Step 4: Begin Engaging Customers

• See who your typical foursquare customer is.• Create a campaign with a special or two• Monitor how many unlocks you have received• Use information about customers to reach out• When you are done, engage some more!
