Newsletter #3 Friday 25 January 2019
Dear Parents When school starts, it seems to do so with a bang and memories of lazy holiday days feel quite distant already. We so thank you for throwing yourselves so wholeheartedly into our beginning of the year activities and attending our various meetings and supporting the first galas and other sports events. Congratulations to the sports department on arranging some very happy inter‐house galas (on those boiling hot days!) Particular appreciation goes to Justine and Quinton Jenkins for helping out with extra gazebos for PS inter‐house gala on such short notice and after the storm took some of our shade net apart. Children swam well and we had some spirited cheering. The sports letter has more in this regard.

Swimming Teams:
Swimming is the Sport of the Term and we ask that parents and students support the school in this
regard. We ask that if your child has been selected for either the High School or the Primary School
swimming team that you prioritize attendance to the practices and galas. The High School Team is at
the end of this Newsletter and the Primary School Team will be announced early next week. Places
can still be challenged for and these challenges need to be registered with the Sports Office.
Also, morning swimming practices are for any/all –not just those in the swimming teams.
Sport Practises:
Anyone not at attending a sports practise needs to excuse themselves with their managers and not
the sport office. This includes parents who email in. Unfortunately, it is impossible to handle all
requests to the sports office. All sports manager’s names are reflected on the Co-curricular schedule
and the emails for these teachers are found at the back of the school diary. Where possible, pupils
should excuse themselves.
