weekend!
Real Alcázar de Sevilla
Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987, it is regarded as
one of the most outstanding examples of mudéjar architecture in Spain!
A royal palace in the heart of Seville that was
originally built by Moorish kings – the gardens are
beautiful!
Plaza de España
The Plaza itself is about the
size of 5 football pitches!
Plaza de España is a semi-circular building with a tower at either end (tall enough to be visible around the city). In front of this impressive
building is a 500-metre canal crossed by four bridges!
The Cathedral
Seville's cathedral is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world! It’s
Central nave is 42 meters tall!
The cathedral's construction
lasted over a century, from1401 to 1506!
Barrio de Santa Cruz
This ‘barrio’ is the formerJewish quarter and it
houses some of the oldestchurches in the city.
The Barrio de Santa Cruz is alabyrinth of narrow streets and
alleyways that protect you from theAndalucían sun!
