School-wide Homework Policy: Homework is an essential element of your

child’s education. Homework is meant to be a  purposeful and meaningful    extension of skills taught in the classroom as well as building students’ personal responsibility. Mastery of content is a partnership between school and home.

School-wide Homework Policy (continued)

At the very least, the school-wide expectation is that all students will read every night. We recommend that students in K-2 read independently or read with or to someone for a minimum of 20 minutes outside of the school day. Students in grades 3-8 will read a minimum of 30 minutes outside of the school day. This may include assigned readings from class, reading for projects, or reading for pleasure.
